For many months now, I have been hear­ing a lot about this new, upcom­ing Google prod­uct called Google Wave. Throughout my daily rou­tine of scroung­ing the Internet for use­ful infor­ma­tion, I found RSS feeds that gave some insight into what Google Wave is and what it is all about. However, I never really paid much atten­tion to it sim­ply because I knew that it was by invite only, and I fig­ured that I would wait until I could actu­ally get my hands on it to under­stand its full scope. So the other day a col­league sent me an invi­ta­tion to join Google Wave. Here is my review.

I am always on the look­out for billing/invoicing soft­ware, whether it is stand­alone soft­ware or web-based soft­ware, because such soft­ware eases the pain of keep­ing track of projects. I am a spread­sheet kind of per­son, but find it too painful to keep track of projects, tasks, and clients within Excel. There are count­less online choices avail­able but for this month I am tak­ing a look at FreshBooks.

Now is the day to carve those pump­kins, eat a ton of candy, and watch a lot of hor­ror movies. I will be carv­ing not one, but two pump­kins. I have a battery-operated knife to assist in the carv­ing, and I’ve found some awe­some pumpkin-carving sten­cils at ZombiePumpkins. And I plan to use as much of the pump­kin insides as much as pos­si­ble. I’ve found recipes for pump­kin soup, pump­kin pie, pump­kin bread. I’m sure I’ll be over with the pump­kin craze after all of this.

Well, another week­end has approached upon us. The fes­tive hol­i­day of Halloween is merely one week away. So, it is time to buy that pump­kin, break out the carv­ing kit (or if you pre­fer, your kitchen tools of choice), get your cos­tume pre­pared, and prac­tice scar­ing the local chil­dren when they approach the doorstep for candy. Let’s make Halloween 2009 go out with a real scare.

My favorite time of this year is the months from September to December. I love Autumn. The weather becomes cooler, tree leaves begin to turn and fall, and some of the best hol­i­days pop up after the pass­ing of my September birthday.

As you know, this is the month of October, and that means one thing: Halloween. I cur­rently have no plans for cel­e­brat­ing this year. Since I now live in SoCal, I have access to sev­eral themes parks, all of which are hav­ing haunted houses and “spooky” events. DisneyLand, Knott’s Berry Farm, and Six Flags are all hav­ing planned events to cel­e­brate the occa­sion. The ticket prices are steep, but I think that it is worth it to have a good time. Maybe next year…
