For many months now, I have been hearing a lot about this new, upcoming Google product called Google Wave. Throughout my daily routine of scrounging the Internet for useful information, I found RSS feeds that gave some insight into what Google Wave is and what it is all about. However, I never really paid much attention to it simply because I knew that it was by invite only, and I figured that I would wait until I could actually get my hands on it to understand its full scope. So the other day a colleague sent me an invitation to join Google Wave. Here is my review.
A Review of FreshBooks
I am always on the lookout for billing/invoicing software, whether it is standalone software or web-based software, because such software eases the pain of keeping track of projects. I am a spreadsheet kind of person, but find it too painful to keep track of projects, tasks, and clients within Excel. There are countless online choices available but for this month I am taking a look at FreshBooks.
Happy Halloween
Now is the day to carve those pumpkins, eat a ton of candy, and watch a lot of horror movies. I will be carving not one, but two pumpkins. I have a battery-operated knife to assist in the carving, and I’ve found some awesome pumpkin-carving stencils at ZombiePumpkins. And I plan to use as much of the pumpkin insides as much as possible. I’ve found recipes for pumpkin soup, pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread. I’m sure I’ll be over with the pumpkin craze after all of this.
Just a few MadTV Halloween skits:
Happy Halloween, 2009.
Curb Your Enthusiasm Halloween Episode
This is a humorous clip from the show ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm.’ Remember, if you don’t hand out candy to the trick-or-treaters, they will give you a trick. Ha ha. YouTube clip.
The Weekend Is Here…
Well, another weekend has approached upon us. The festive holiday of Halloween is merely one week away. So, it is time to buy that pumpkin, break out the carving kit (or if you prefer, your kitchen tools of choice), get your costume prepared, and practice scaring the local children when they approach the doorstep for candy. Let’s make Halloween 2009 go out with a real scare.
Remember Daylight Savings Time is November 1st at 1:00 AM.
Favorite Time of the Year
My favorite time of this year is the months from September to December. I love Autumn. The weather becomes cooler, tree leaves begin to turn and fall, and some of the best holidays pop up after the passing of my September birthday.
As you know, this is the month of October, and that means one thing: Halloween. I currently have no plans for celebrating this year. Since I now live in SoCal, I have access to several themes parks, all of which are having haunted houses and “spooky” events. DisneyLand, Knott’s Berry Farm, and Six Flags are all having planned events to celebrate the occasion. The ticket prices are steep, but I think that it is worth it to have a good time. Maybe next year…
